Packers’ Season in Jeopardy? Jordan Love’s Injury Leaves LaFleur ‘Very Concerned’!

Jordan Love's Injury

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur didn’t hold back in expressing his concern following the season-opening 34-29 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The bigger worry? An injury suffered by quarterback Jordan Love, which has the Packers on edge as they await further tests. The game, played in Sao Paulo, Brazil, means that Love and the team will endure a 10-hour flight back to Green Bay before the injury can be fully evaluated.

Speaking with Larry McCarren of the Packers Radio Network, LaFleur revealed the extent of his concern. “I don’t know. We’re waiting. Obviously, very concerned about it. We’ll wait to find out when we do more tests,” said LaFleur, clearly anxious about his starting quarterback’s condition.

The injury occurred in the game’s final moments when Love, while attempting a lateral to running back Josh Jacobs, took a hit to his left leg, just above the knee. His foot got caught beneath a pile of bodies, and the situation quickly became grim. Love needed help to get off the field, leaning on Jacobs and a trainer for support as he hobbled back to the locker room.

In his post-game press conference, LaFleur didn’t offer much more, keeping things brief. “I don’t know,” was his only response when asked about Love’s status.

Jacobs, reflecting on the incident, echoed the uncertainty, adding, “We don’t know the severity of his injury, but hopefully he’s OK.”

For now, the Packers and their fans are left holding their breath, hoping for good news once they land back in Wisconsin and more tests can be done on Love’s leg.
